A veteran Public Relations executive with over 15 years experience, Rachelle Schlosser has headed publicity departments at major record labels, including Sony and RCA, and has served as Vice President at Rubenstein Public Relations, one of New York's most prestigious P.R. agencies. She has promoted artists ranging from Charlotte Church, The Chieftains, Michael Bolton, George Winston, Jim Brickman, Etta James and Cesaria Evora, to Yo-Yo Ma, Evgeny Kissin, Leonard Bernstein and Denyce Graves. Hit soundtracks released under her tenure include Titanic and Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
Schlosser has a diverse client roster, including Irish singer/PBS star Daniel O'Donnell; Sony BMG Masterworks recording artists Evgeny Kissin, David Zinman, Leonidas Kavakos, Baiba Skride, Denis Matsuev, Christian Gerhaher and Emanuel Ax; and the non-profit S&R Foundation, helping talented young artists.
Recent projects include: American diva Shirley Verrett's new autobiography (Major features in the New York Times, Boston Globe, Opera News & NPR's Tavis Smiley Show, etc. & a coast-to-coast book tour); the late conductor Marcello Viotti, in conjunction with the unveiling of Venice's historic Gran Teatro La Fenice (features in Wall Street Journal Europe, Associated Press, etc.); violinist Rachel Barton's recording of Brahms & Joachim Violin Concertos with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Strings, Gramophone, Philadelphia Inquirer, LA Times, etc.) and Angel/EMI's Classic Archive DVD Series, including rare performances by Glenn Gould, Jascha Heiftez, Artur Rubinstein, Regine Crespin, Leopold Stokowski, Claudio Arrau, Yehudi Menuhin, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Sviatoslav Richter, among others; (New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, NPR's Fresh Air, etc.).
